Our founder, Cathy Brand, has 21 years experience in the financial services industry (18 years of European banking experience) including management of a US Family Office, UBS, Zurich Financial Services, Citigroup and Pioneer Global Investments.
During her career at Citigroup Alternative Investments, Cathy managed an 8 year project with a team of internal & external legal counsel to create a 55+ country platform to support private placement and product development of CAI’s full spectrum of alternative investments to institutional, private wealth management and retail clients. This global platform was critical in building out Citigroup’s proprietary investment group into a multi-channel, multi-product global third party business.
Cathy has an M.B.A. in International Finance from the George Washington University, Washington DC USA.

Elizabeth Dawes

Elizabeth Dawes is legal and regulatory consultant for Global Sales Compliance. After studying law at Oxford, Elizabeth worked at Allen & Overy London and became a Qualified Solicitor in 1997. Elizabeth’s career began with regulatory advisory at Deloitte & Touche before transitioning to in-house Counsel with large financial institutions including Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers and Gartmore Investment Management (now part of Henderson), where Elizabeth was Deputy General Counsel. Throughout her extensive financial services career, Elizabeth has advised on the set up, structuring and marketing of a wide variety of funds and alternative investment vehicles, both for retail, private wealth management and institutional markets.

Dr A. Lorraine Newbold, LLB, PhD (University of London)

Dr. Newbold, Barrister, is Global Sales Compliance external legal counsel. Dr. Newbold was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 1990 and practised as a tenant of Essex Court Chambers. Dr. Newbold’s 18 year corporate legal career began in 1993 at BZW/Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank, where she became Executive Legal Director with responsibility for all investment banking related legal work. She subsequently joined the Japanese investment bank Nikko as General Counsel and the Dutch Investment bank, Rabobank International, also as General Counsel. She then moved to Citigroup Alternative Investments where she was European General Counsel specialising in structured investments and alternative investments.

Marguerite Weber is Head of Marketing for Global Sales Compliance. Throughout her 30 year career in the financial services industry, Marguerite has been involved in launching and developing executive search firms in the UK, Australia and Singapore as well as undertaking management consultancy and training projects for specialist investment sector firms. Her business-to-business transactions and marketing experience span Europe, Middle East, US, SE Asia and Australia. Marguerite is co-founder of BWA, one of the first specialist alternative investment executive search firms with offices in London and Singapore. She was previously with The Berwick Group (now part of Odgers Berndtson) for 10 years where she was instrumental in its inception, launch and eventual sale.
Stuart Rittschof
Manager, Web Based Solutions

Stuart Rittschof is GSC’s Manager of Internet (web based) sales compliance solutions for GSC clients. Stuart has over 20 years of experience in communication graphics both in large industry and as a company owner. Stuart started his career in computer-aided design as a digital production artist in San Francisco, CA and with the evolution of the Internet became involved in managing implementation of digital brand communication for large corporations including Apple, Adobe, Publicis, Pentagram and Birkenstock. Stuart studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada-Reno (USA) and earned a degree in Design Communication at Kingston University (UK).
